Whats the importance of the PL output mentioned for the ddj 400 ?

I’ve never used one myself but they look very good and they have two screens which is a BIG plus in my opinion

I started Djing with the Hercules Inpulse 200.
As I’ve seen on many online reviews, I would love to improve it and purchase the Hercules Inpulse 500. I love using DJuced out of all the softwares, it’s the one I feel the most comfortable with.
Now the dilemma is… I might start playing soon in some clubs and bigger gigs in my area, which I assume use Pioneer equipment. Should I then purchase the Pioneer DDJ FLX4? Even tho it might be out of my comfort zone, (using Rekordbox) and a bit more pricey… but this way I’ll already start learning to use this program and not mess up my brain even more in the future.
Do you think this is the best decision?

Full disclosure, I am not a DJ, but my girlfriend has been showing interest in possibly DJing at a local goth venue. She is not completely ignorant to the DJ scene, she’s been around it for years, but she’s never actually done it herself, and I want to find her some thing to start out on that would be, user-friendly and fun.

bro I started with djaing a month ago (i dont have and never had a dj controller). I like it as a hobby but don´t plan it to be any kind of carreer plan, and because of it I wanted to buy a cheap one just to play at home, I saw the ddj 200 but seeing that it doesn´t have fx controls or navegation knobs, i´m thinking of getting the numark party mix 2, do you think it is worth the price ?
DDJ800 is what I started with, so I was lucky! It took my years of touring and playing guitar very well 😀
I’m getting better at scratching now. Especially into and out of songs. I haven’t done it live yet, but I’m almost there! Few more hours and I’ll be confident enough.
I gotta say some of my favorite discoveries lately are the 1/2,/1/4,1/8 option on the effects knob. Rolls, slips, echo, are just a few, but man, it’s really fun before drops, during long vocal parts that are drawn out into breaks, I’m having a blast and in turn, the crowd is!

I’d say this world is quite different compared to guitar, drums, etc. It’s limitless… but also, you’ll have people that have been djing for years, telling you that you can’t mix a 90bpm song with a 120 bpm song. BLows my mind tbh. IF you have understanding of timing signatures, you can do pretty much anything regardless of tempo. I tried explaining it to a fella, but he kept insisting to use beatsync to "flow" songs together. Not even listening to my mixes :/
