ADDITIONAL VIDEO NOTES:
This is the Fitbit Charge 6, and it is likely to be my most recommended wearable of the year. Let me explain.

A lot of people don’t want a $300 smartwatch that needs to be charged every night. They want a subtle device with a long battery life that tracks health and fitness, has google pay, notifications, and maybe a few other smart watch features. So what are your options here? You can’t get a WearOS watch or even a Galaxy watch thanks to the battery. A Garmin device would work but they are very expensive. So that brings us to Fitness Bands. Of all the smart bands out there, the new Fitbit Charge 6 is going to be the most appealing here in America.

The app is awful. Customer service non existent. Having used fitbit for many many years they’ve forced me to look elsewhere

  2. @cdanilana on October 26, 2024 at 10:10 pm

Is it compatible with iPhone 16 pro max

  3. @NEILROBERTSON-ws7ze on October 26, 2024 at 10:11 pm

you lost me at pay wall

  4. @ChrisDIYerOklahoma on October 26, 2024 at 10:11 pm

I have had the Charge 2 + Premium for YEARS. It is still working fine, charges up, etc. However, the "Zone Active" and heartrate are failing to show on the APP (my phone). Steps and sleeping monitor work and are useful. But, I want it all to work. Just ordered a Charge 6 and a nice band. Same day delivery with Amazon Prime in my area

  5. @rikhenry9701 on October 26, 2024 at 10:11 pm

I’d like to add a minor addendum: At this point, you ARE able to buy the Charge 6 from their actual website and Amazon (I think) for $120, but learning about "Fitbit Premium" from your video has definitely shown me that this is NOT the device for me. So I thank you.

  6. @ganeshbyale5024 on October 26, 2024 at 10:12 pm

But is ECG comes free with watch or do we need extra subscription for many other features?

  7. @watchchimp3102 on October 26, 2024 at 10:14 pm

I had an early Fitbit. I got the top of the line, and it worked pretty good at first. At that point "premium" was just a coaching application which I didn’t need.
After about 15 months I noticed I wasn’t get detailed sleep info., then slowly other features stopped working.
It really felt like forced obsolescence !
Then I ran into a woman who had the same experience. TWICE!
    That confirmed my suspicions.
    So, I swore off Fitbit.
I got a Polar, because someone said the had theirs for 5 years! It’s good, but more of a trekking/sports watch.
So could we assume that since Fitbit is using a paywall now that they won’t stop working in 15 months!?
If they’re going to be obsolete; they should make that clear up front.
But, knowing that, I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone! 😢

  8. @TheBatman514 on October 26, 2024 at 10:14 pm

I was on Amazon getting ready to buy as I listened to this. I’m not getting it bc of the "paywall" 😂

  9. @tayterlik on October 26, 2024 at 10:17 pm

Guys, careful with these products. My C5 has just stopped responding; I have sent it to support according to the instructions, but surprise – I was supposed to send only main unit, not the whole box with accessories! No, it was not mentioned in the instructions sent to me.
It seems I will get as a replacement only the main unit (a "pebble"), and the rest will be my problem. Plus, it is 6 months before the end of warranty for my unit, yet refurbished units get 3 months of warranty.
This was a second Fitbit tracker I have used. If support sends only the unit, this will be my last Fitbit purchase. They have closed email support, chat support has very little idea what to do, instructions for shipment of the unit are misleading – apparently the company is not interested in customers after they paid money.

This item has a range and was purchased for me from Amazon early last month and it really does help keep my hair from getting damaged but it has helped a ton in terms that are more expensive for my face shape and it really helped with eyebrows but the other one is not very expensive because the hair looks like it’s been really good 😌 it’s really good 😊 and remember the good 😌 thank everybody who came by for this purchase so far it’s so much more than just the one thing you can give you for this and it’s worth that much for your money ❤❤❤

  11. @annediedrich174 on October 26, 2024 at 10:20 pm

haven’t had a fitbit last more than 7 months- ever.

  12. @Barone2013 on October 26, 2024 at 10:23 pm

The armbands on the charge 4 are causing some skin irritations on my wrist. Not sure if this is a known issue

  13. @Iz0pen on October 26, 2024 at 10:24 pm

My cousin got one of those by court order

  14. @FavourOsuji-n5h on October 26, 2024 at 10:24 pm

    How much is it?

  15. @1993tope on October 26, 2024 at 10:25 pm

Misreading my steps. Help. This is a new charge 6. 2 steps, it shows 17 steps

  16. @VxV466 on October 26, 2024 at 10:25 pm

I’ve been using the Samsung Fit2 for close to five years. I find it hard to switch to anything else because of battery issues, bulkiness, and unnecessary features that often drive up the price. However, the Charge 6 seems promising. Although, I’ve had a bad experience with Fitbit because they tend to push their membership sign-ups.

  17. @NatureNurturedJourney-ov4vb on October 26, 2024 at 10:26 pm

    Interesting

  18. @derekconstantino7759 on October 26, 2024 at 10:29 pm

Mine finally broke after about a year and a half but i loved it when it was working. Didn’t pay for any subscription though

  19. @Morganlaine16 on October 26, 2024 at 10:31 pm

Gah I really don’t understand the paywall every company is doing now. Paying for the device should be all the money they get from me.

  20. @mikeawesome2733 on October 26, 2024 at 10:33 pm

Hello fellow Mike OBrien. It’s nice to meet another one

  21. @patticake5311 on October 26, 2024 at 10:34 pm

Nice review that answered a lot of my questions. Can you address step accuracy,. please? Does it count vigorous handwashing or typing as steps?

  22. @HedzHaz on October 26, 2024 at 10:37 pm

I was ready to buy until the Pay wall. I think its disgusting that multi billion $ companies think its necessary to milk their customers for every last cent. Can’t we just own something that fully works anymore.

  23. @marcooscatigna916 on October 26, 2024 at 10:38 pm

Amazfit bip 3 pro is still awesome

  24. @David-cz9ej on October 26, 2024 at 10:41 pm

2:10 How can i pay with google wallet if my phone is not connected? The Fitbit tracker does not have an Internet connection or a cellular one, or does it? If it doesn’t (and i do nit think it does) how is it processing the payment? 😅

  25. @cyliemyrus on October 26, 2024 at 10:42 pm

That paywall was literally the only thing stopping me from getting it. If i’m spending $160 for basic things, I’d rather just fork over the extra amount for a Garmin watch or any other smart watch.

  26. @SavagelyPeaceful on October 26, 2024 at 10:43 pm

The only reason i am not getting it because it can’t count "floor climbed"

  27. @bassingbasics6621 on October 26, 2024 at 10:43 pm

The problem with Fitbit from what I’ve been told is the battery longevity. I’ve heard you won’t get more than a year with the same watch.

  28. @leland303 on October 26, 2024 at 10:45 pm

    F Spotify. They’re a has been company

  29. @kartikkaushik9811 on October 26, 2024 at 10:45 pm

Not buying just because of Fitbit premium

  30. @qumbirace5849 on October 26, 2024 at 10:46 pm

I bought it, it sucks! Please don’t buy it. It is not accurate and it overestimates your steps so much, the screen scratches really easily, and the battery life is a lot worst then a lot of other cheaper smart bands. Just get like a Xiaomi or something for way cheaper and it’s gonna have more features!

  31. @MongrelDeluxe on October 26, 2024 at 10:47 pm

premium payments = No thank you!

  32. @Urhmmmm on October 26, 2024 at 10:48 pm

Ppl u don’t have to buy the premium subscription

  33. @electrifiedspam on October 26, 2024 at 10:48 pm

    I hate the paywalls.

  34. @bflsolutions on October 26, 2024 at 10:48 pm

Paywall is stupid but don’t care because does everything you need without the premium features. It also connects to mynetdiary which is my diet app and gets my nutrition information from there and shares my workout data to mynetdiary which is the reason I purchased this device. I use only YouTube music with my YouTube Premium subscription which also is perfect for me. Get more bang for my buck from YouTube Premium then Spotify. I don’t like the auto on feature for workouts and cardio. I disabled that because I will just click when I start and stop. The app had me doing cardio twice in a day when I was doing other physical activities and i had not noticed because the vibrate on the device is very light you may not notice the notifications.

  36. @kyleemery3203 on October 26, 2024 at 10:50 pm

Can you shower with it on ?

  37. @slavicapolic1367 on October 26, 2024 at 10:50 pm

it is sooo bad in comparison to 4. it is super difficult to operate a swim, it takes me 20 seconds of insane frustration to stop a swim. i do not recommend for swimmers.

  38. @Daniel-dj7fh on October 26, 2024 at 10:52 pm

Since the Galaxy ring is just an absurdly overpriced galaxy fit2.
Is there something like the whoop band which is cheap and works on google fit or samsung health without having to import data around?

  39. @ppecchi on October 26, 2024 at 10:53 pm

I had a Fitbit Charge 5 and after a little more than a year stopped working : battery life 1,5 hour ; no heart beats, no steps counting , no screen on when rotating the wrists. I contacted Fitbit Customer Support Center, and that had me do several troubleshooting and resets … all useless . The watch didn’t fell, didn’t get close to any magnet, no high heat, no low cold … it just died while I was walking …I checked on the Internet and many users had the same experience, so it’s not a case , but something related to the product. Unfortunately all these type of device reviews just take in consideration the functionalities but not the quality of the hardware , or issues in the engineering of the products . I ‘ld rather to pay more for something more reliable than a Fitbit Charge whatever .

  40. @imbilta on October 26, 2024 at 10:55 pm

I have Charge 6 and It’s the most useless wearable. You pretty much pay Google to train it’s apps. It does not track anything correctly. It’s so inaccurate I stopped using it. I feel Google has to pay me to train their system instead of me paying them to train their useless device. I track everything I do using my iphone and charge and compare it. Charge 6 does not track steps or miles correctly; it’s WAY OFF. The bicycle function is almost inexistent. Save your money and buy Apple Watch. KNow this for sure. You’re paying Google to train their system than they charge you to give you useful information. I wish I know this before I lost my money.

  41. @davescom on October 26, 2024 at 10:57 pm

No wireless charging is a deal breaker for me.

  42. @kwickdraw4643 on October 26, 2024 at 11:02 pm

"Paywall" is a price breaker, I’ll got with Samsung 6.

  43. @seven58o on October 26, 2024 at 11:02 pm

I had the Charge 5 for 3 weeks… The metal sensor melted my skin lol…

  44. @yesimwilliam on October 26, 2024 at 11:03 pm

As soon as you said they had the pay wall I was out. Wanted this to track my sleep. Guess Ill look else where

  45. @fayezfamfa on October 26, 2024 at 11:03 pm

Did anyone noticed that it is always off regarding calories calculated ? It is off by 1800 calories for me !

  46. @Barone2013 on October 26, 2024 at 11:04 pm

I want a good and reliable tracker, don’t care about the gimmicks like payments, don’t want to pay with my tracker

  47. @timlist4173 on October 26, 2024 at 11:06 pm

Does not interface with dexcom g7 app. Useless for diabetics. Another google fail.

  48. @SobujRhum on October 26, 2024 at 11:06 pm

The variety of textures in the kislux pack is impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there’s something for everyone.

  49. @raenedaez on October 26, 2024 at 11:06 pm

Thanks for the detailed review. My Charge 4 is just now failing, and I didn’t know whether I should take this opportunity to consider other health trackers. I have been with Fitbit since Charge 2, and I really do want to stick around for as long as possible before Google digests it whole eventually. This review has helped me decide to stay a little longer.

  50. @0749Rockystar on October 26, 2024 at 11:07 pm

Recently had a Charge 4 and loved the minimalistic feel and it included meilditatiin and sleep tracking while also being water proof. I was gifted the Charge 5 two Christmas’ and didn’t like the size. (Seemed too feminine)
I’m looking at reviews for the Charge 6 and am just trying to determine if I should upgrade or just buy another Charge 4.
