How did the 88” Oled look in person? Which was your favorite? Or actually what were your top 3 favs? I have to go check them out.

Great video! It’s hard to find the "Mom & Pop" electronics stores anymore. While the big box stores are convenient, you lose the quality service with them.

Do you think the Sony Z9F will go back up in price I was looking into this TV but does someone have to act fast will the price stay for awhile because with Samsung I see some prices come down but go back up and just wondering if Sony does the same.

What’s the difference with 4K picture quality using dedicated 4k blueray player to my xbox x

I got the cheaper ub420. Are you going to give us a review of the ub820? I’m curious to see what the differences are between the 2. Also I might be moving to the east coast in less than a year. I might have to go check the place out when I’m there.

It’s field trip time man, I want to visit Value Electronics ASAP!! I love talking technology and life with people in general, thank you for having a therapeutic channel! That’s good that its not about the high end products only with VE, I started small and made my way up the TV latter!

  7. @battousai412 on October 26, 2024 at 10:22 pm

That’s awesome Brian! Ive never visited, as im not on the east coast, so im really stoked to check your vid out! Ive watched numerous videos from the shootouts particularly 2012 and 13, it was so so informative and fascinating and really helped me along with my passion for tvs and home theater, as has this channel! Glad to hear about your experience, good stuff as always! Enjoy your pana 4k player! Speaking of Panasonic, did you happen to ask them what thr deal is with them selling displays in the States?

  11. @SteveSmith-cm1hx on October 26, 2024 at 10:29 pm

Robert is an awesome guy. Talked to him plenty of times. If I ever get the chance I am gonna visit his store.

Great vid Brian… you look like all your christmases came at once lol 🤣
Similar situation to what I was talking about before where I prefer them sorts of places get to see the TVs in real life situation and not bright showroom no reps etc.. them places are like gold dust and I would prefer to spend a little extra in them places for their time and knowledge.. that’s a FINE player you picked up there my friend had my eye on that still pricey here in the UK and them Hollywood film colourists etc you mentioned are the same lot that work alongside Panasonic with their oleds.. be interested to know what the owners of the store think of Panasonic not selling oleds in the states…

Great choice on the Panny Blu-ray player. I’ve had mine for almost a year now and it works flawlessly. You got a great deal on it. I paid $499 for mine with zero regret.

I ordered my first high end HD plasma Pioneer Kuro in 2008. Very good company and fair prices. Good people.

  17. @Mind_of_MATT on October 26, 2024 at 10:53 pm

Nice man. I use the UB820 for all my BD watching. I use my PS3 & PS4 for DVDs.

  18. @thomascolato222 on October 26, 2024 at 10:53 pm

Robert & Wendy from VE were nothing but gracious & humble the two times I purchased my displays. I had them calibrate my a9f and highly recommend this service not only for color accuracy but to ensure a good issue free panel. Happy holidays Brian and to everyone in the community.

  19. @matthewgaines10 on October 26, 2024 at 10:54 pm

Value Electronics has a good reputation and participates in the AVR community. They are worthy of support if you live in the area or buying online.

  20. @myronhayes187 on October 26, 2024 at 10:56 pm

I’m happy you decided on Panasonic ub820 and great interaction you had with the owners. Be Blessed!

  21. @crw31399 on October 26, 2024 at 10:58 pm

Was talking to someone at bestbuy yest for over 15 min and they highly recommended the a9g ..was taking all the info in and really thinking more about a9g to get in January. But as I was leaving, she said she only can sell sony which then made her credibility go way down..need someone who is neutral, who doesn’t care what I buy and knows what’s the best choice.,the best tv

  22. @Mike-ln1wf on October 26, 2024 at 11:01 pm

Awesome video Brian. Sounds like an amazing place with amazing people. . Wish I would have bought my display from them.

Reminds me of Electronic Express here in TN !

  24. @christophercharles3426 on October 26, 2024 at 11:03 pm

    Ha ha ha… 1st…!!! You know this..👍🏽🤣

  25. @Mike-ln1wf on October 26, 2024 at 11:03 pm

Hey Brian just to give you an update. The Tech from PC Richards came yesterday and right away saw the spot and pointed out all the DSE all over the screen. So once again I have to exchange it. I don’t know what to do. I’m hearing very mixed reviews on the 950G. I’m still thinking of getting the 77” LG C9 My only concern is going 5” smaller. I don’t want to go through another return after this one. It’s crazy what I have to do. I have to make sure I’m home. I have to take off the banister on my stair case. Dee has to take down all her Christmas decorations. We have to move furnitures round. It’s an extreme hassle. So once again I’m so confused on what to do. .

  26. @444chroma on October 26, 2024 at 11:06 pm

I’ve talked to Robert over at the blu-ray forums. Great guy..very knowledgeable.

Enjoy that new Panny – the HDR optimizer feature is very cool!

Ps. I think you need to go to the next shootout!

  27. @brucecarter6205 on October 26, 2024 at 11:07 pm

Great video Brian! VE has gained a huge following and a very good reputation over the years. Wish I was in the US to take advantage of their outstanding selection and service.

Btw…congrats on the UB820. By far the best 4K player on the market. I got mine at launch and absolutely love it. The HDR Optimizer and tone mapping capabilities of this player are off the charts good.
