I will never buy a Samsung product. I know it’s dumb, but I have not liked there copy cat practices over the years. I don’t feel like they create anything, they just copy really well

Samsung still has thermal throttling, frame-skipping and connect issues.
Don’t be fooled by how something looks, because it needs to work.
The only company with 5 years of warranty for their panels.
So glad your making videos still…. been watching a while. Long before you had a face! Lol. So what’s your opinion on a a good 55 inch under 1500 for movie and streaming? REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR OPINION. By the way…. I love how confident you are in being the BEST TV CALIBRATOR….. LOVE IT!
Next Level & Subscribed! Struggling between G3 vs S90D. Understand 90D is superior PQ but would greatly appreciate your insight regarding the differences in a sun drenched room environment?
ive just bought and received 2 days ago the G4 and unfortunatly out of the box its awful.. what i saw in the store was better but then i saw the Samsung 900D series and damn altho not Oled i think imma bring back that LG cause everything ive tried to watch even online via my ps5 stuff doesnt look that great… the highlight in brightness are way better then my old samsung from 2016 which was a low end model but guess what watching cable tv i like it more on my old tv. that says alot … i did try one game on my ps5 and it did look good. but the rest movies and normal cable,.. the colors just dont pop only time that seemed vibrant was a fighting game but i cant imagine on a S95D how much more vibrant it could be… On Amazon i tried to watch The Expanse cause i love space show for dark space scenes but i was very dissapointed.. more highlight were bright but nothing was outstanding it was more of a black and white kinda thing instead of showing different shades of other colors… so i went back 2 best buy and asked em how long do i have to bring it back for an exchange? to their amazement the sales person was quite shocked i was thinking of bringing back a top of the line LG and i told em it might be a top of the line but my eyes arent the issue its the tv it looks washed out … ive tried to thinking and fuck around with the menus and differnt modes but nothing pleased me.. i miss what my old samsung was bringing … colors! like god of war on ps5 was actually looking better color wise i think on my old samsung… of corse the LG gets way brighter but thats unfair a low end sam from 2016 vs an Oled 2024… anyways even with ur Calibration that i was the LG altho alot better then out of the box still i like that Samsung s95D but now im thinking of stepping up to the Qn900D ive looked at the 800D in stores which they had on demo and it looked quite nice. not as blinding maybe as the LG but the colors again the overall picture was just more saturated and warm which i like more. LG does look cooler in color and i dont like cooler at all but i guess thats a matter of taste.
I need to buy a 65" for my room, if i watch a lot of 4k netflix/prime video would the samsung s95d better than G4? The samsung cost less than G4 in my country
Hey Quantum, I’ve got a TV review suggestion that I think you’ll really dig. It’s the Samsung QN85D, and if you’re a fan of the Q8FN—and I know you are—this is one you’ve got to check out. The QN85D feels like a modern take on that classic model, bringing some of that old-school magic that Samsung has been lacking.
This TV isn’t getting the buzz it deserves, but trust me, it’s one of those hidden gems Samsung has quietly slipped into the market. It completely floored me, and I think it’s right up your alley to shine a light on it.
Here’s the kicker: even though it’s technically a "junior" flagship, it outperforms Samsung’s current big hitters—by a mile! I mean, it easily blows the 2023 QN90C out of the water (and believe me, I tried that one and sent that turd back).
No one’s talking about it. It’d be awesome to see you do what others won’t—put the spotlight on this under-the-radar beast!
The flawed by the numbers RTINGS review of the S95D made it look much worse than the G4 in the eyes of normies. That 2 minute 10% window measurement lowered its score significantly even though it’s a complete non-issue in actual content. Have you ever seen a static 10% window that stays on the screen for more than a minute in a movie or TV show?
In reality, the S95D simply looks better than the G4 in actual HDR content. It’s not a big difference, but the colors are simply brighter and more life-like than on the G4. Again, these TVs are very similar to each other, but normies make it sound like you’re getting a completely inferior last gen panel with the S95D while the opposite is true. WOLED is dead.
Another thing I keep hearing about is Dolby Vision, and the people who keep mentioning it don’t even know what it is and just how irrelevant it is. It doesn’t make the image or the highlights brighter, it doesn’t make the colors "better" or "pop" (another buzzword I hate that tells me the person has no clue what they’re talking about.) It’s completely irrelevant for modern TVs. Dolby Vision barely looks any different and it’s certainly not ‘better.’

Hi there, I agree that QD Oled is the better technology, but what recommend you for larger sizes than 77 inch, because there is no QD Oled TV until now!
Few things though –
Accurate mode was being tested only and without DV to cater to Samsung… but also Sony as its reference tv only does hdr10 – whilst DV is not always better – there are some scenes that benefit from it – similar to bt2020 higher gamut on QD OLEDs – few scenes benefit
– 65” LG G4 suffers most from uniformity issues – 77 and 83 to much lesser extent – hence taking hits in few categories because of that
– this shootout was focused on issues that each tv/technology has – and WOLED has more than QD OLED but reflection handling was not tested – here Samsung would lose against regular ambient light were contrast suffers. Being problem driven is a very specific shootout – some of those issues are not present frequently yet are being scored as equal to others more frequent ones – that’s a flawed scoring which wont reflect typical owner experience.
For those reasons no one should decide based on that – what people in general use is not filmmakers mode – so each tv will behave differently and therefore those scores do not reflect that whatsoever. Lastly price is very important factor in anyone’s decision. This is where Sony fails most of the time.
All in all they are very good tvs and none of them is perfect.
U have the best info in this space and I thank u bro. Can’t wait to get my Samsung and put ur settings to use. It is hilarious tho that u think people hate on u bc ur Christian or conservative. Come on bro, u are the angriest smart guy I have ever seen. Chill bro. Stop calling people by name and yal can have the same followers even tho u are the goat.
Great Vid! I work on colour for animation and I must say your before and after calibrations are excellent. You can really see your TV’s being pushed to their best output display and no one on the other tv channels offer that. Props!
Hi Q, i just picked up my S95D 77 last night. I played with it until 1.30 am. Wow, this thing looks awesome. Wow, the colors are so crisp and vibrant. I will admit that I got spoiled over the last five weeks of trying the Sony a80l 83" . And b9, 85" of how their settings menu was. Can’t wait to throw some of your settings on it . Thanks darrell
I’m looking for a 77" OLED TV, but unfortunately we lost the lottery in Australia and the 77" S90D here is a WOLED screen and not a QD-OLED. Also, last year’s 77" S90C QD-OLED models are all sold out. I’m not a huge fan of the S95D’s matte finish and I will use the TV mainly for movies/physical 4K media so Dolby Vision is somewhat of a factor. However, I’d like to also pair the TV with a soundbar and the Samsung soundbars destroy LG’s offerings, especially if you compare Samsung’s Q-Symphony to LG’s Wow Orchestra. So what would you recommend between the LG G4 and S95D for a 77" model if the price was essentially the same for both?
Could you please elaborate on the "issue" that has been observed by other reviewers etc about QD Oled raised blacks when there is ambient light in a room (not in dark a room). Is it really an issue? judging by your experience. Thanks in advance.
I’m not ready to give up my lg c1 yet. It has your calibration settings in it. I wish Dolby vision was better and if I’m watching older CSI shows from 2006 I wish the upscaling was better. Everything else I’m very pleased with. Thank you for your honesty, I greatly appreciate it. I’m not willing to spend $1,000 + for something a little better.
I believe what u say ! Ppl who r “official SONY seller “ r not going to Expose tv issues . Like Bravia 9 , X95L rainbow 🌈 smear issue .
But those r critical for ppl with bright room .

I just looked at them. The g4 is better. Doesn’t have all the burn-in issues either. Look how much brightness the qd-oleds lose just in the first year compared to the G4.
I paid 1800€ for my LG 65 G3 – Sony A95L cost 2600-2800 € and I dont like this cold blueish Picture QualitY 😂
I will never buy a Samsung product. I know it’s dumb, but I have not liked there copy cat practices over the years. I don’t feel like they create anything, they just copy really well

Why do you hate the LG so bad?
🤔 Trying to decide between the LG G4 and S95D. Any suggestions?
Hi man. How do i get your calibration for s95d? Just bought one based in your rewiew!) So, how do I buy it from u? Thanks.

Dog walked, that might be a bit of a stretch …..given the same logic on a numerical scale. The A95L Dog walked the samsung !
Quantum calibrations with the W
the 77 in b3 is 1500 should I get it or can someone find a better deal?

Q, I just got the s90d!!!! My first Oled. Does your setting cover standard definition for cable too? Can’t wait for it to get here!!!
Maby its time LG work on placing Quantom Dots in their OLEDs and combine it with their MLA technology.

price/quality ratio G4 best
SONY A95L QD-OLED THE KING 🤴 🏆 champion
I follow you because youre usually spot on with TVs and calibration. Your faith and politics is just a bonus.

Super lib by the way and still love ur vids my guy, been subscribed since I bought my s95b. Don’t care who u vote for, or who u worship, much love.
Which Tv has a better calibration out of the box?
After the new update (in Germany) the LG G4 is even better than before!!! The brightness increased a lot…
My heart said go with LG G4 and my brain said S95D
S95c owner hee. I am so happy with the picture. Looks so 👌 impressive. Especially in game mode 🎉

OLD MATE, THE DISPLAY GUY… said this s95d was an absolute joke any thoughts on that one?
Great review! Can you still get a fantastic picture and colours on the s90d 83, woled panel. Is it the same as the lg c4?
I still don’t understand why the sony A95L won the again 😒 I’m starting to get tired of this.
TRUMP 2024 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I got my S90D and set up installed today! I left you a comment on your custom color space settings!
As a pc gamer, the 144hz option won me over, but outside of my use case, I can say overall the 95d is the better pick. That being said every one who isn’t a TV enthusiast was blown away by my g4 I had a c9 prior.
How is Samsung OLED care? Burn in is a concern?
Is 0.4 difference a real big thing in this score? For me it’s just that these tvs are almost the same in performance, but I could be wrong.
The sony is a gen 3 panel as well now as they buy from samsung.
I just looked at them. The g4 is better. Doesn’t have all the burn-in issues either. Look how much brightness the qd-oleds lose just in the first year compared to the G4.
